What is MaxFest?

You’ve heard about it from your colleagues: It’s the most informative and fun professional conference they have ever attended.

  • “MaxFest is the one conference that provides practical advice and information for implementation; and, it is appropriate for new users as well as seasoned ones.”
  • “I find MaxFest to be one of the most practical conferences I have attended. There is very real and tangible knowledge/experience you leave with that can be implemented immediately.”
  • "I learned so much in these sessions. I will save my school time (and therefore money) by revising and streamlining processes that are in Maxient. Plus there are ways we can expand its use."
  • “I always have ideas to bring back and implement. It is a great time to connect with colleagues who are genuinely helpful and happy to share materials."
  • "MaxFest allows me the opportunity to learn more about the database that I basically live in during my work day. I get to ask questions of those who develop the product, as well as learn more about how others use Maxient."
  • “No other conference is as vital to how I do my job and how our institution keeps information”
  • "I always learn something new, especially as it relates to the new features and it's great to connect with colleagues."
  • "As always, an excellent experience. I have never been let down and always enjoy my MaxFest experience. The people who attend have a real desire to learn and it shows that the Maxient staff is sincerely interested in helping. The openness and friendliness of the Maxient staff is remarkable. "

MaxFest is Maxient’s annual user conference where you can learn about the best and most innovative ways to use our software from both Maxient staff and your colleagues in the field. Longer and more comprehensive than our regional trainings, this multi-day event features specialized sessions covering a wide range of user experience and topics. In past years, we have offered over 45 sessions covering topics such as:

  • Building incident reports and letter templates
  • Level 5 user powers and responsibilities
  • Communication tools (such as texting, tasks, and notes)
  • Launching new processes
  • Training new users
  • Updating your system as your processes change
  • Discussions regarding specific use in Housing, Title IX, and BIT/CARE

MaxFest will take place over two and a half days with sessions presented by Maxient staff and current clients.  We'll begin with a Welcome Session which will reveal new features coming to the software and end with the Development Forum held over lunch on the last day where you can share your opinion on what features might be developed in the future. As always, the Support Room will be available for you to meet with colleagues or chat one-on-one with a Maxient support team member.  You (and any family/friends that might travel with you to Phoenix) are also invited to join us for dinner and our social event at The Duce, Phoenix warehouse district’s most unique event & entertainment venue!

As always, attendance is capped. To avoid being left out, be sure to register soon!

Pre-Conference Sessions - Monday, June 24

Morning Sessions (8:30 am to 11:30 am)

  • General Workflow Bootcamp focuses broadly on the basics of using Maxient. Bootcamp is essentially a Maxient training session that will feature a demonstration of the software using a simple workflow process. This session is best for new users in need of a strong introduction to the software and existing users that would appreciate a thorough refresher.
  • System Healthcheck and Review provides an opportunity for Maxient system administrators with an existing understanding of the Maxient software and their administrative responsibilities to gain a greater understanding of how to review your system configuration and how to make changes appropriately. This will provide Level 5 administrators with an extensive review into Maxient to ensure that their system is running as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Afternoon Sessions (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm)

  • Administrative Screens focuses on essentials for Level 4 and 5 users who serve as Maxient administrators on their campus. This session is best for attendees who are not yet familiar with the abilities that Level 4 and 5 users have to make adjustments in the software to reflect changes in users, updates to existing or adding additional processes, and overall system management via the Administrative functions available on your Maxient homescreen.
  • Configuring Maxient for Clery Crime Statistics: A Deep Dive will review the powerful capabilities available in Maxient for institutions that wish to use the software to track Clery crime statistics. Unless the system has been configured properly, however, and users make the correct Incident Location and Clery Reportability selections when populating cases in the system, the accuracy and completeness of an institution’s crime statistics may be called into question. This session will provide attendees with an opportunity to fully understand Maxient’s setup and capabilities so that users can fine-tune their systems and optimize their Clery reporting.

*When registering for both a morning and afternoon session, a $10 discount will apply.
